I Met The Walrus

In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fan named Jerry Levitan, armed with an audio tape recorder skipped school one day and snuck into John Lennon’s hotel room in Toronto, Canada and actually convinced him to do an interview. Apparently so many people of the time thought that the Beatles had Special messages in their music, hidden plots to provoke people. Jerry reportedly stated ” He (john Lennon) went out of his way to tell me that there is nothing magical about Beatles music and that he and the other Beatles are just regular guys.” Even though its not as extreme in present day, this “phenomenon” where groups of people band together in disgust and fear, believe that some angenda is behind the artist’s intentions to control the minds of the masses, when in fact the artists of this industry are attempting to help free them. This fear is always present when massive change takes place and the Beatles are a prime example of this change in that industry. Almost 40 years later Jerry Levitan provides us with direct insite with one of the most memorable icons of the music industry.
We can’t all agree with the artist’s methods, we can’t all agree what is noise and what is music, we can’t all agree what is art, we can’t all agree on anything really, but varity is the spice of life. Where tyranny would have us all the same. To open minds an artist’s view of the world could sometimes be taken as warning and not an attempt to control. The problem we face is not  that people have control over us or try to control us. The problem is that we allow it to happen.

Little Girls Meets Twilight Zone

Words cannot express the feeling of curiosity  that overwhelms us as children. Diving into the unknown to gather and consume anything out of our reach, just so that we may own it. Sometimes that “flaw” in our human nature is used against us, to lure us, so that this curiosity can survive. It will consume us. Some people will never “grow” out of it.
